How can I conveniently manage licences?
Your licence manager can easily manage CRE-DO licences in our customer portal.
1. What is a license manager?
The license manager is (at least) one natural person or one department in your company whose valid e-mail address is provided to us when purchasing a license and is entered on the license server. From a technical point of view, the license manager is a user account on the license server to which we can assign any licenses for their own management. The person named above as the license manager can independently enter or manage other persons for the administration of all licenses associated with this user account, or the orders that have led to the respective licenses.

3. Dashboard / Start page
You will end up on the dashboard, your personal start page.
From there, either follow the orange arrow to license management (for both user-based and computer-based licenses) or the red arrow to license manager administration.
4. License management
License overview page
On the following license overview page, select the license you want to edit:
License details page
The license details page offers two options, depending on whether you have a user-based license or a computer-based license. If you want to manage the users of a user-based license, then follow the orange arrow; to manage the devices of a computer-based license, follow the purple arrow.
Users overview
The following page lists all users already assigned to this license and allows you to optionally create additional users (orange arrow) or edit existing users (green arrow).
User administration
As you can see, the only essential user information required when setting up a new user is their email address. The license server automatically suggests an initial password. This password does not usually need to be changed!
For better organization, it makes sense to use the options for editing users (green arrow from the previous image) to give the user you have just created a unique name (green arrow here), to change the license password again later if necessary (purple arrow) or, if necessary, to reset the temporary activation of their license, for example, after a software crash (orange arrow).
Devices overview
If you have a computer-bound license, you will have followed the purple arrow above and will have landed on the overview page of all currently active devices. Important! You cannot enter any devices here yourself, not even in the case of an offline license. Instead, the software itself registers a previously unknown computer here and activates it automatically. In the event that an orphaned activation for a user who no longer exists needs to be deactivated so that the same license can be used on new computers, select the appropriate action for the respective device from the action menu (purple arrow).
5. License Manager Administration
The administration or assignment of further license managers is carried out in accordance with the respective order that led to the issuance of a specific license.
Orders overview page
The order overview shows all orders and associated licenses that the currently logged-in license manager is authorized to manage.
2. Order details
In the details of the respective order, you have the option of managing yourself as the license manager, as well as adding further license managers (red arrow), and viewing the customer data associated with the order (green arrow). Unfortunately, it is not currently possible to change the customer data and thus the owner of a license as displayed in the software. Please contact the customer support of CRE-DO GmbH for this.
